Ciba Japanese Food & Sushi
10435 San Diego Mission Rd.

San Diego, CA  92108

Chiba has some of the best sushi rolls I have ever tasted. Everything on the menu is a great value. Though its location and decor are modest, the food never disappoints. Many rolls are under five dollars and bento boxes start at 5 dollars as well. A great casual restaurant!

Our only night in the city, and we stumbled across Cafe India (we were staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby).  One of the very best Indian meals that we have ever had.  Very friendly staff, very helpful.  The "Balti" brand wine is a good addition.

The staff was very helpful the first time I was there and told me about everything on the menu. I highly recommend the gaucamole dip with the flax seed chip, it was surprisingly tasteful! The flax chip seed tastes a lot better than a tortilla chip, you won't regret it. I recommend trying to the sample plate that has a little bit of the menu items if you're not sure what to get. I really enjoyed the sushi with the noya sauce and the tiny pizzas were perfect in size and taste. I really love their ice cream, it tastes like a light ice cream, except it's made out of cashew! You'll be amazed at all the items on the menu if it's your first to a raw restaurant. Definitely worth a try!
