Visit Jamaica by Car!, 01-09-2010

As someone who has been vacationing in Jamaica for the last 25 years, Jamroc 101 is my oasis between visits. As I walk through the door and hear the beat of reggae music, my feet start dancing. Usually met at the entrance by owner David, we exchange a few greetings in patois and I’m right at home. Whether I dine solo or with a group of friends, the authentic Jamaican food is always prepared fresh with generous portions by Tina, David’s wife and business partner. Tina visits each table to “chat up” with the diners making sure everything is good. I always take home a doggie bag and service at Jamroc is “no problem”. For me, live reggae music nights only add to the authentic Jamaican experience. On those nights, they could charge a cover fee and I would still dine there. Now that they have added rum to the beverages, everyone is a little more “irie”. I wonder if they will ever have a reggae concerts on their outdoor patio? Yeh Mon!!

From the ambiance, to the food, to the wait staff and music, Jamroc 101 Caribbean Grill is like no other place I have ever been! The food is out of this world and one of a kind! It is absolutely delicious and unique. Anybody looking for a new exquisite flavor in a fun family owned restaurant should definetely check out Jamroc. You will be so happy you did.

I didn't even know this restaurant was there. It's awesome! The food, people, and atmosphere were great. I had the jerk chicken sandwhich with beef patties ahead of time....wow, I'll be back for more.
P.S. Try the "painkiller" to wash it down
